As part of a day-long seminar on international issues in education, co-convened by Illuminate Consulting Group and the Chronicle of Higher Education, I addressed the question of changes in alumni and student behavior, in light of changes in uses of technology. The seminar's overall focus was the long-term view of how the present global economic crisis will affect the ways in which universities sustain themselves, collaborate, and compete.
