With the CASE Advancement Summit 08 just around the corner (the conference starts July 13), CASE is dipping its toe in the social media pool. They've launched a blog where a small number of presenters can introduce — in writing — topics being discussed at the meeting itself.
I'll be one of the CASE bloggers, and hope to get my first posting onto the site within the next few hours. But I won't be the first person to post; Summit Chair Trish Jackson has posted a welcome message, and UCLA's Peter Hayashida has already contributed a provocative posting on diversity and bigotry in higher education leadership.
The blog site itself has a few rough edges, but CASE deserves credit for adding a new dimension to the way that professionals can engage with its conference content.
Check it out and subscribe, and submit your comments to share your own thoughts. That's how blogs work, right?
