A few years ago I noticed that there were repeated calls on the ALUMNI-L listserv for samples of alumni association mission statements. I gathered a couple of dozen of them and put them on some personal web page squirreled away somewhere. After seeing another request last week, I remembered my compilation and dusted it off, and I am now hosting it here at Alumni Futures.
If you visit the Alumni Futures web site, you'll find a link called Mission Statements under Additional Information in the left navbar. The mission statements (and an occasional vision statement, motto and list of goals) are alphabetical by institution name.
You can make this resource more valuable by emailing me your association's mission statement. I'll include it in a periodic update to the collection. I especially encourage submissions from international institutions, independent (secondary) schools and special-purpose institutions.
My personal favorite? Clemson.
